VOLADEROS represents the recovery of a style of wine that disappeared at the end of the s. XIX: a quiet dry Pedro Ximenez that did not exceed 14 ° Alc. known as Mountain Wine. Pedro Ximénez or Pero Ximen was the wine that gave Malaga the most fame, “making memory of him who writes of this City, calling himself by name, Malagueño Wine”.
García De La Leña 1789.
Tasting Notes:
Delicate and elegant. Bright straw yellow color. On the nose, flowers, citrus fruits, fresh fruit, lemon peel, lemon and green apple and a light spicy background very elegant.
In the mouth it has a very fresh, mineral, slightly saline entrance with a very balanced citric acidity Fruity, fleshy, broad in its passage through the mouth and with a long and persistent finish. A very elegant and balanced wine even at the beginning of his life
About Our Label:
Voladeros takes its name from the popular expression of Malaga that designates the precipices and cuts that abound in our mountains: “Volaeros”. Its most recognizable form has been chosen, which also appears as a place name in the cartography of the National Geographic Institute area. The illustration of the label faithfully reproduces an engraving of 1800 Isidore Laurent representing the Bay of Malaga and the Montes de Málaga in the background.
